We will serve our community through GRIN via providing and distributing meals at Royal Manor Elementary the week of July 12-16, 2021.
Even though Royal Manor is closed this summer for asbestos abatement, we will be providing hot meals via to-go boxes outside of the school. The serving hours will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm with lunch being served from noon to 1 pm. Currently the estimate is 80 meals per day. The meals will consist of a main course, side, fruit and vegetable.
We need 2 sets of volunteers: onsite and meal prep
- For onsite, a maximum of 4 people is allowed – 2 for serving and 2 for ‘traffic control’. Onsite servers must provide their own face masks and must undergo a background check.
- For meal prep, approximately 4 people will be needed to make/assemble the meals.
- We do appreciate anyone who would like to make a main dish or purchase one of the other components. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com prior to making a purchase/selecting a main dish. Suggested menu items are on the sign-up page.
The WCPC Deacon’s fund will pay for the background checks and additional meal costs. Volunteers can be any age, but onsite volunteers must be over the age of 12.
